Transparency in Dealing & Integrity Pact

MECON,   a  Central     Public   Sector   Organization,   recognizes    its responsibility to combat bribery and corruption.

It is committed to transparency in its dealings with all its stake holders.

MECON has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Transparency International India for implementation of Integrity Pact, a tool developed by Transparency International, which ensures that all activities and transactions between a Company or Government Departments and their counterparties are handled in a fair, transparent and corruption free manner.

MECON is entering into Integrity Pact with  counterparties (vendors/suppliers/contractors) having transactions of Rs.10.00 crores (Rupees ten crores) or more. The draft Integrity Pact forms part of tender documents, where transaction value is estimated to be Rs.10.00 crores (Rupees ten crores) or more.

It is proposed to enlarge the scope gradually to cover larger number of counterparties.

To oversee the process of procurement, MECON has appointed External Independent Monitor(s), who will oversee  transactions where Integrity Pacts are signed between MECON and counterparties.
