B. AGGLOMERATION : Production of sized lump ore in the mechanized mines results in generation of appreciable amount of ore fines. These fines as such can not be charged into the Blast furnace and the agglomeration processes have been developed to utilize such arising of ore fines by various processes such as sintering and pelletising.
